Chewbacca Actor Wishes Star Wars Co-Pilot Harrison Ford a Happy BirthdayIn light of Harrison Ford's 76th birthday yesterday, the legendary actor received an extra-special birthday wish from his iconic co-star, Peter Mayhew, who of course played Chewbacca in the classic Star Wars films. Ford kept things business-casual in a gray button-up shirt while Mayhew was ultra-casual in jeans and a personalized Star Wars tee. Mayhew, who is 7'3″, donned the Chewbacca outfit for the original trilogy from 1977-1983. Walt Disney Studios announced Tuesday that Ford's still-untitled return to his famed Indiana Jones character would be delayed from July 10, 2020, the movie's original release date, to July 9, 2021. David James, Paramount Pictures, via APFord introduced Jones in Spielberg's 1981 adventure classic "Raiders of the Lost Ark," followed by 1984's "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," 1989's "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" and 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Disney studios also formalized the title "Maleficent 2" for Angelina Jolie's screen return, and it set for May 29, 2020. Of course, Lourd is no stranger to the Star Wars universe herself, starring as Lieutenant Connix alongside Ford in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015. The actress also appeared in Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017 opposite Fisher.
